Providing solutions since 1956

1956

In the mid-20th century, in La Pobla de Claramunt, Barcelona, the journey of Construcciones Metálicas Ferrer Comas begins, led by the brothers Eduard and Joan Ferrer Comas. With only two people and a surface area of 150 m², it offers mechanical and metallurgical services to the Cal Tort paper mill (Miquel y Costas & Miquel), located in the same municipality.

1985

Three decades later, Construcciones Metálicas Ferrer Comas becomes E. Ferrer Comas. With a staff of four and a 750-m² facility, the company’s growth is evident and it offers mechanical and metallurgical services to all sectors of industry, beyond paper.

1992

The company becomes E. Ferrer Martorell. Now, with 800 m² and six workers, it refocuses its activity on metallurgical and mechanical services for the paper industry, its core business from the beginning. The company continues to consolidate in terms of specialization, implanting itself in the territory.

1996

Talferco is born, once again expanding the provision of new boilermaking and structure services to clients of all kinds, maintaining a work area of 800 m² and already employing a staff of ten. Talferco evolves in tandem with the changing needs of the industry, but continues to nurture the close and professional relationships which have characterized it since its inception.

2000

At the turn of the millennium, the company evolves into Taller Ferrer Comas and relocates to Vilanova del Camí, in the province of Barcelona. Its 18 workers staff a 1,800-m² facility. This moment supposes, probably, the company’s biggest turning point thus far, creating a technical office and an engineering department to reinforce comprehensive and larger services.

2019

TFC Industrial Projects is born, undoubtedly the most significant development in the company’s nearly 70 years in operation. The area of the facilities expands to 2,800 m², the number of industrial service professionals surpasses 35 and the coverage area is extended to all of Catalonia. To the services that have always characterized TFC Industrial Projects, now the most current trends are added, such as 3D scanning or point clouds.

Today

The siblings Eduard Ferrer and Anna Ferrer, with their entire team, remain faithful to the values that form the company’s identity: quality, service, constant progress, innovation and, above all, trust and closeness in the relationship with customers.
